Awareness session on Significance of Child’s mental health
Awareness session on Significance of Child’s mental health (IMSG Maria Beri, Islamabad)
Upon assessing the student’s need, it became apparent that this would be the first exposure for many to the topic of child’s mental health, especially considering the majority coming from low-income backgrounds. The aim was to provide them with essential exposure and engage them in extracurricular activities for a refreshing and energetic experience.
Sania Mustafa (Psychologist) focused on following activities during her session:
- Session on Child Mental Health
- Inclusive Yoga and Meditation
- Engaging Fun Activities
130 students of age group between 12 to 16 participated in this session, and the session exceeded expectations, leaving the students enthusiastic and happy. They particularly enjoyed the meditation and yoga segments, and many expressed their intent to incorporate these practices into their lives.
This initiative contributes to make our society a better place to live.
