About UBF

Umeed-e-Bashar Foundation is an independent, non-profit, and non-political organization dedicated to creating better opportunities for those who need them most. Our mission is to inspire societal change in education through our volunteer efforts and social services.

Mission: To change society through an effective mechanism by providing educational scholarships and resources, career counseling, and recreational and sports activities.

Vision: To create opportunities for a better tomorrow for those who cannot get it on their own.

Our Projects

01.

— Provision of Educational Scholarships

Our foundation’s ‘Education for Everyone’ initiative provides need-based scholarships to students in Northern Pakistan who face financial barriers to education. Launched in 2018-2019, the project initially supported two students, enabling them to continue their studies without financial worries.

— Nutritional Awareness Session/Seminar

Umeed-e-Bashar Foundation organized a session at D.J. High School in Hunza in collaboration with the Society of Health and Nutritional Awareness. The session provided students with guidance on available scholarships and highlighted the importance of nutrition for their health.

— Books and Bags Project

The Books and Bags Project by UBF at Zawiyaa Trust School in Lahore provided notebooks, stationery, and bags to 40 orphaned students. Volunteers also organized activities on nutrition, hygiene, and sports, marking Umeed’s first successful project of this kind.

04.

— Provision Of Ecd Equipments

Umeed-e-Bashar launched a project to support Al-Amin Public School with Early Childhood Development (ECD) materials. Noting a lack of resources, we provided essential equipment for 15 students, enabling a full ECD class and promoting holistic development.

— Establishment of Mini Book Corner at QAU

In collaboration with Quaidian Tutors, we set up a mini study corner at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. We provided books and stationery to support students with limited schooling prospects, enhancing their educational opportunities.

06.

— Awaresness on Child Abuse & Stress Management

Umeed-e-Bashar Foundation hosted a session at Passu Community Hall on mental health, stress management, and child abuse, led by Clinical Psychologist Mrs Samida Ali Baig. The event was attended by students, youth, and community members.
